Thank you for your continued efforts in supporting us through the Distance Learning process. In meeting with our educators (in a
virtual platform), they expressed how much they enjoy connecting with families and students. They appreciate all the evidence of
learning that you send them and the messages that students are sharing with their teachers. Please continue to keep in close
communication with your child’s educators and reach out to them when you need support.
We also want to assure you that your child will not be losing their school year, regardless if we return to school or not. The work that
your child is receiving is grade appropriate and on track with what they’d be normally receiving. Final report cards will be completed at
the end of June.
On Wednesday, April 22nd, it is Administrative Professional’s Day. A big “THANK YOU” to Mrs. McAlendin, Mrs. Hovius and Mrs. Hurst
for everything they do to make our school a wonderful place! They have been extremely helpful during the school closure and we
appreciate all of their efforts. We know that you join us in thanking them, as they are important members of our community.
If you’re not on Twitter, this may be the time to join! Follow us on Twitter - @ChrisHadfieldSc
There is so much going on! We are sharing resources, engaging in Twitter challenges and staff are posting selfies and sending messages
to our community. We would love to see more students and families join in!
If you’re not following us on Twitter……you’re missing a lot! See you there!!
April 22, 2020 marks the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Earth Day was created to promote awareness and appreciation for
the Earth's environment. Learn about Earth Day by trying this interactive story which explores the benefits of sorting waste in order to
help the environment. Afterwards, discuss as a family, what is one thing you can do at home to help save the Earth.
