As we come to the end of the 2019-2020 school year, we wanted to take some time to thank some of our staff members who will be leaving us at the end of the month. We have had several occasional teaching positions that will be ending which include Ms. Ahmadi, Ms. MacKenzie, Ms. Correia and Ms. Harding. They have been wonderful additions to our staff, and we wish them the best as they move onto future career opportunities. Our school has also been fortunate to have had Mrs. Jensen and Mrs. La Rosa in occasional education assistant positions which will conclude at the end of June. We appreciate their efforts to support our students and wish them well in future endeavours. Mrs. Ashton, Mrs. Chu and Mrs. Rashidian have been working in occasional Designated Early Childhood Educator roles, which are also concluding. We would like to thank them for their efforts and wish them well as they move forward to new prospects. We have also been lucky to have Mrs. McLean, Mrs. McMillan and Mr. Campbell in teaching roles over the past several years. Next year, Mrs. McLean will move on to Sir William Osler, Mrs. McMillan will be teaching at Ferndale Woods and Mr. Campbell has accepted a central program role with the school board. We know that they will serve their new communities and roles well, and will be missed by their CHPS family. In exciting news, as the school year ends, Mrs. Shanahan will be starting her maternity leave. We send her and her family our best wishes as she prepares for the arrival of a new baby next month! Last month, we also said goodbye to Mrs. Hovius in the office. Mrs. Hovius had accepted a new position at Alliston Union Public School. While we congratulate her on her new role, we will miss her smiling face in our office when school resumes. Finally, we wanted to share with you that Mrs. Kenny has been appointed Vice Principal of Hillcrest Public School in Barrie. We would like to congratulate her on this appointment and we know that her new school community, and the school board as a whole, will benefit from her being in this new position. As we wind down the school year, please take some time to thank and say goodbye to these wonderful professionals that our students have had the benefit of working with. Thank you, R. Dashnay
