We'd like to sincerely thank you for your cooperation during the pandemic.  Many of you have chosen to keep your children home when ill and this keeps us all safe.  We also want to thank the many families who have been able to quickly pick up their children when they show symptoms at school.

As of late last week, the ministry released a revised Covid Screening Tool.  Please see the attached documents for more specific details.

Families should seek medical clearance, receive a Covid test, or self-quarantine for a minimum of 10 days if they have one of the following symptoms:

  • Fever or chills (37.8 or greater)
  • Cough (more than usual if chronic including barking, making a whistling sound when breathing)
  • Shortness of breath
  • Decrease or loss of smell or taste

If students present with ONE of the following symptoms, they are to be picked up by families and need to be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school:

  • Sore throat
  • Stuffy/runny nose
  • Headache
  • Nausea, vomiting and/or diarrhea
  • Fatigue/lethargy/muscle aches or malaise

That being said, when a child presents with a combination of any TWO or more symptoms, parents will need to seek medical clearance, quarantine for a minimum of 10 days, or receive a Covid test.

If your child is ill, we ask that you please connect with our safe arrival line.

Again, we truly appreciate your support.
